Pressure measurement studies

In-shoe pressure measurement in research: studies with GP MobilData and GT Radix

The in-shoe pressure measurement system by GEBIOM from Münster, Germany, has been used in scientific studies for years – under the names GP MobilData, GP MobilData WiFi, GP MobilData Funk and GP MobilData Bluetooth. The current generation is called GT Radix and is distributed by go-tec. Below you will find a selection of publications with a link to the source.

Validity and reliability

How accurate are pressure insoles? A comparison with the force plate

Concurrent Validity and Test–Retest Reliability of Pressure-Detecting Insoles for Static and Dynamic Movements in Healthy Young Adults

Lambrich, Hagen, Schwiertz, Muehlbauer2023Sensors 23(10), 4913GP MobilData WiFi

What it is about

22 healthy adults standing, walking, running and jumping, measured simultaneously with insoles and a force plate, plus a repeat measurement. The study found high agreement and mostly good to excellent reliability; absolute force values were lower than those of the force plate.
